A minutes applause to be held this evening in memory of Joshua Wilson...
The sad passing of Joshua Wilson last week has had a massive impact on so many. Josh was Bury's very own Super Hero. Otherwise known as "Super Josh", his smile was nothing but infectious and his work for charity inspirational.
In the last 12 months, Super Josh, along with his amazing mum Dawn Fidler and their team of "Thumbraisers" have raised a staggering £120,000 for the charity set up in his name; The Joshua Wilson Brain Tumour Charity.
Your support and donations will help Joshs Charity improve the lives of children with brain tumours & post surgery disabilities, through financial solutions for specialist equipment, house adaptations and advice.
Patrons and supporters include Sacha Lord Marchionne (The Warehouse Project), Sir Peter Fahy (Chief Constable of Greater Manchester) and Adrian Morley, (Salford Reds and England Rugby League)
Joshua Wilson aka SuperJosh was a very happy normal 3 and a half year old when he was diagnosed with his tumour; lifesaving brain surgery left Joshua in a coma for 3 months before he then started his recovery in rehab - the complicated surgery due to the location of the brain stem left him with complex physical needs, epilepsy, scoliosis, joint problems and an acquired brain injury.
We would like to honour his memory with a minutes applause before kick-off this evening.
There is also a celebration party on Friday evening at the Village Hotel in Bury from 5pm. celebrating Josh’s life and making sure that the charity goes on to grow and prosper in his memory. His family would love you to attend.
You can donate to Josh's charity by texting SJBT13 followed by the amount £1, £2, £5 or £10 to 70070
