19 year old Courtney Duffus arrives on loan at the JD Stadium.
Courtney Duffus, along with his younger brother Tyrone, both joined Everton from Cheltenham Town following successful trials in 2011.
Striker Courtney is a 6 foot 2 powerhouse who has scored goals freely for the Toffee’s U18’s side and helped them to the Premier League U18’s Title last season.
Now a regular with Everton’s U21 side, Courtney joins the Shakers on loan until January and will take squad number 18 during his time at the JD Stadium.
Manager David Flitcroft was full of praise for Courtney by saying: “Courtney is a player we have watched for a while now. We get out to a lot of games and he caught the eye a few weeks ago. We tracked him again last week against a good Wigan Athletic side where he scored a very good goal.”
The manager continued: “He has pace, power and wants to run in from behind and hurt other sides. Everton were very happy with the way we looked after Hallam Hope last season and were more than happy for Courtney to come here on loan to learn. Courtney is very mature for his age and is a player that I am really looking forward to working with.”
