Bury v Southend United Preview

21 April 2015

A preview of tonight's game against Southend United...

Tonight's game at the JD Stadium is potentially one of the biggest of the season, in what is effectively a Sky Bet League Two promotion eliminator.

A fantastic string of results for both sides has left each within reach of that elusive third-placed spot, which is currently occupied by Wycombe Wanderers.

A home win would see the Shakers leapfrog Wycombe into 3rd place and see us back in the automatic promotion spots for the first time since October.

A sixth consecutive victory for the visitors would see them snatch 4th spot from Bury and take them level on points with Wycombe.

There's no better time for the Shakers to be going into such as momentous tie, having won eleven of their last thirteen matches, during which they have set a new Club record of seven away wins on the bounce.

Team Updates

The Gaffer looks to have a fully fit squad at his disposal.

Southend Captain John White, has a chance of returning to Southend's starting eleven. The right-back missed Saturday's 1-0 win over Exeter and the Club's fifth straight victory.

The Shrimpers' top scorer Barry Corr, has missed their last two games having been given time off for a family problem.
