Gaffer nominated again

7 April 2015

Nominations for Manager of the month

The March nominations for the Sky Bet League 2 Manager of the Month Award are:

Gareth Ainsworth (Wycombe Wanderers)
Ainsworth made light of a difficult looking fixture list in March, which included games against promotion rivals Southend United, Shrewsbury Town and Luton Town, to inspire his team to 14 points from six unbeaten games in the race the for League 2 title.

Dave Flitcroft (Bury)
Flitcroft has built a solid foundation at Gigg Lane on which to mount a promotion charge. Three more clean sheets in five games, four or which were victories, has spurred his side on to believe they can challenge the top three for an automatic berth.

Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink (Burton Albion)
If proof were needed of the absolute belief Hasselbaink has instilled in his Burton players, it came in the 2-1 comeback win with 10 men against Southend United which sent them clear at the top. That win was part of a 13-point haul from five games.

Ronnie Moore (Hartlepool United)
Even the most optimistic Hartlepool fan thought Moore had an impossible task to keep Pools in the League. After four successive wins lifted them off the bottom – they conceded just a single goal in the process - he is looking like a miracle worker.

The judging panel comprises former Ipswich Town manager George Burley, Sky Sports’ Football League expert Don Goodman; Football League Chief Operating Officer Andy Williamson; League Managers’ Association Director Olaf Dixon and Sky Bet Football Trading Manager Paul Lowery
