Bury under-18s will take on Wigan Athletic tonight at the JD Stadium in the North West Youth Alliance.
The Shakers youth team take on Wigan Athletic this evening in a crucial top of the table clash, kick-off 7pm at the JD Stadium.
Both Wigan and Bury have been at the top end of the table for most of the season, with both currently on impressive unbeaten runs; Wigan Athletic are 20 games unbeaten meanwhile Bury are 15 games unbeaten.
With three games left and only a point behind leaders Rochdale who are still to play Wigan Athletic in another re-scheduled match, the lads will put themselves in a great position for the title with a win tonight.
The game will be an even more exciting affair factoring in the venue; the game has been re-scheduled to take place at the JD Stadium in hopes that a good Bury crowd will spur the team to success.
Youth team manager, Ryan Kidd believes that the youngsters being involved in a title challenge will give them vital experience for the future.
Speaking ahead of the match, Ryan Kidd said: “It’s good to have this kind of pressure and to be involved in a title race, because the first team are involved in one at the moment and are feeling the same kind of pressure.
“Tonight will be another important game, but an added bonus is that we are at the JD Stadium which the lads will be looking forward to.
“After Saturday’s game against Burnley we had to make sure we recovered in the right way which is massive, and we had a few injuries as well which we had to manage.
“We trained on Sunday after the game, to keep that momentum which will hopefully give us the best chance to get the three points tonight.”
