Bury Find out JPT Fate

3 August 2015

Bury have not been given a bye.

Bury have missed out on a first round bye in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy.

David Flitcroft’s side will now take their place in the draw, which is screened live on Soccer AM at approximately 10.15am on Saturday.

The Shakers are in the north-west section and will face either Accrington Stanley, Carlisle United, Morecambe, Oldham Athletic, Port Vale, Shrewsbury Town or Walsall.

Round one ties will be played in the week commencing August 31.

Bury did well in the JPT last season after receiving a bye to a second round tie against Morecambe, where the Shakers finished 3-1 victors before losing to Tranmere Rovers in the regional quarter-finals.

However, they will not receive a bye again this season.
