Bury look to retain the LFA Senior Cup title tonight against Rochdale.
The Shakers will take on Rochdale tonight in the Lancashire Senior Cup Final at the LFA County Ground, PR25 2LF, kick-off 7pm.
Bury will be looking to retain the trophy against local rivals Rochdale, and will put trust in theYouthTeam to do this after getting the side this far in the competition. A number of FirstTeam squad players are also expected to make an appearance tonight.
If the team retain the title,it will be Bury’s 10th win in the competition since it’s formation in 1879. The last time the two teams met in theFinal was during the 2004-05 season, it ended 1-0 to Dale.
The Shakers beat Wigan Athletic in theSemi-Final to get this far, whereas Rochdale beat Man United’s Reserves via penalties to book a place in theFinal.
This will be the Youth Team’s first competitive game of the season, and it will also be their first game after the team’s return from their pre-season tour to Holland.
After the match the Youth Team will turn their attentions to their first game in the North West Youth AllianceLeague - against Accrington Stanley on Saturday - since becoming League Champions last season.
