Bury Football Club were once again proud to support Mike and Chelsea’s Key 103 Mission Christmas.
There are 150,000 Children living in poverty in Greater Manchester. Mike and Chelsea’s Mission Christmas, in partnership with The Manchester Evening News and supported by B&M, UKFast, Optegra and Mid-Communications. They aimed to collect 60,000 toys and donations for the disadvantaged children of Greater Manchester.
At the point of dropping off, the large selection of toys donated by employees, fans and local businesses, Mission Christmas had raised £1,844,468 and gifts to 48,690. We are proud to have supported this event and look to continue with this again next year.
Key 103 would like to thank everybody who donated towards this event through the Football Club, local businesses, schools and individuals who went above and beyond. All gifts will now be given out through the Cash for Kids Team and they will be undertaking this right up until Christmas Eve, this will ensure that as many disadvantaged children as possible will benefit from Mission Christmas.
Business Development Manager Daniel Bowerbank states, “As a community based club and with the club being heavily involved in community activity, we had no hesitation in being a drop-off point. It was great for us to be involved with Mike and Chelsea’s Key 103 for Mission Christmas again this year and support disadvantaged children throughout Greater Manchester. We would like to thank everybody at the club who made this event a success and also to all the fans that supported this appeal.”
