The under-18s overtook Wigan Athletic after a fantastic 4-0 win over Wrexham to move back to the top of the League.
The young Shakers beat Wrexham under-18s in emphatic style with a 4-0 win at Carrington to move back to the top of the North West Youth Alliance League.
Bury got off to a fantastic start to the game with commanding centre-back Liam Williams converting a pin-point corner by Rob Bourne straight into the bottom of the net in the 3rd minute.
The Shakers kept pushing the visitors, commanding the tempo from start to finish. Bury soon got their second on the 23rdminute after a fantastic 28 yard strike by Will Osgathorpe was diverted into the net by the leg of a Wrexham defender.
The Shakers kept up their dominance during the second half and made it 3-0 on the 73rdminute after Raquarn Crosdale made a great run down the right skipping past a number of players before crossing into the box where George Miller was there to head it into the net.
Liam Williams got his second of the game on the 76thminute to make it 4-0, heading a Rob Bourne corner into the net to get the young Shakers the all-important three points to keep their championship title dreams alive.
