Bury FC and Bury College are very pleased to be able to jointly announce that they have reached an agreement to work together closely in the future via a key strategic alliance....
Bury FC Director, Ian Kendall, comments
‘Our football club is really committed to putting something back into the community. Bury College are an impressive provider of academic courses across a great range of subjects. We are committed to working with the college to add value to their provision and provide its students with experiences that will add to their future employability. It is an exciting alliance, and as the relationship becomes established, the club hopes it will encourage more and more of the students of the college to come down and support the club on match days.
We look forward to keeping our fans in touch with the practical ways in which this relationship grows in the future and to helping the college achieve its goals via this collaboration.’
Bury College Director of Innovation, Andy Tomlinson, comments
‘This is an excellent opportunity to collaborate on projects which will be beneficial to Bury Football Club, Bury College, but most importantly the students. We have always had excellent links with the community in a number of diverse ways and this partnership will further those relations and show the community what our talented students can deliver in the public domain. It will be a very exciting and rewarding time for all involved, including the wider community . ‘
The first collaboration between the two organisations has seen students from the College volunteering to enhance the junior supporters match day experience by providing face painting for children at home games.
Further initiatives are planned, involving students studying a diverse range of subjects such as sports science, event management, design, and catering.
We look forward to bringing you news on these projects as they develop.
