On Saturday 31st January Bury FC Community Trust attended a WFA Coaching Wheelchair Football Course at the Wright Robinson College in Manchester.
The Staff from Bury FC Community Trust, expanded their knowledge and understanding around powerchair football and learnt basic drills and skills in order to adapt and progress in the process of developing players. This gives every member of staff an insight of disability within sport and to reach a wider audience within their practical delivery. The staff now know the Laws of the Game and how this has an impact on the sport and player as well understanding the role of the WFA.
With funding from Sport England, Bury FC will be developing its own powerchair football team, bury bees, to compete in the local powerchair league. For more information please contact Sian Godwyn: Sian.Godwyn@buryfc.co.uk
