Forever Bury Beer Festival

18 February 2015

Forever Bury Chairman, Dave Giffard, has been organising the Annual Forever Bury Beer Festival single handedly since 2005. The Beer Festival is Forever Bury’s largest event of the year and has brought in over £103,000.00 from the nine festivals to date which has helped the Trust play a part in rebuilding the club.

At the last few Festivals, Forever Bury have linked up with a charity to help raise funds for the cause over the days but we are now delighted to announce that we have linked up with the Joshua Wilson Brain Tumour Charity for this year’s event and all future Beer Festivals. Joshua, or “Super Josh” as he was known, was a proud Forever Bury member who succumbed to his long term illness last year shortly after his 14th birthday and helping his charity is a fitting way to remember him.

“I remember when I started the first one thinking that it would get easier each year but due to the ever growing popularity of the event it’s grown and grown. We now have around 60 beers, 10 ciders and an extensive German bottled beer bar.

Dave’s determined to make the 10th Forever Bury Beer Festival the biggest yet and hopes to smash the previous record of over £17,000.00 raised in 2009 when Bury FC celebrated its 125th anniversary.

Taking place at the Bury Social Club at the JD Stadium from 14th – 16th May 2015 it will celebrate the club’s 130th anniversary and hopefully a promotion season too.

Dave would like to hear from anyone who would like to get involved by taking on one of the many sponsorship packages or advertise in the A5 full colour programme.

Dave went on, “We get people from all over the country coming back each year along with many visitors from Europe and even further afield. So far I’ve got around a dozen sponsors from the Bury area and around the same number from as far away as Castle Douglas but I still need to find a Festival Sponsor, several Associate Sponsors and about 30 sponsors for the beers and ciders”

All the various sponsorship packages can be found on and Dave can be contacted by email at:
