Bury Football Club can confirm that goalkeeper Shwan Jalal has left the club by mutual consent....
The 31-year-old arrived from Bournemouth in the summer and made 8 appearances as a Shaker during his time at the JD Stadium; making his debut in the first game of the season against Cheltenham Town, in the 1 – 0 home defeat.
After Saturday’s game against Burton Albion, David Flitcroft spoke about Shwan’s departure in his post-match interview stating “We’re trying to come up with a compromise with Shwan to end his association with Bury. That’s something we’ve been trying to do over the past 48 hours, so I’ll know more on Monday.
“We’re quite happy that we have Nick Pope in the building and that will take us up until the end of the season, what happens beyond that we will have to wait and see.”
Everyone at Bury Football Club would like to thank Shwan for his service and we wish him every success for the future.
