Andrew Tutte has spoke of his excitement to be involved in his first promotion push.
Saturday’s win against Hartlepool United saw the Shakers move back into the play-off places after slipping out of them last week.
Andrew Tutte, has never been in a promotion push before and is excited about the prospect of doing it with Bury FC.
Speaking after the match, Tutte said: “I’ve never been in the play-offs before so it’s new to me, but there are a large number of players in the team that have a few promotions on their CV.
“It means the likes of me can take advice off the others, but I just want a promotion now; all the lads do.
“We’re so desperate and so is the manager, the coaches, the staff, so if we got that we’d be delighted.
“It’s exciting, success is what we’re in the game for, so every game we go into your excited to win and we looked forward to every game for that reason.”
Speaking of the match which saw the team win 1-0 in a scrappy battle, Tutte spoke of the importance of every point at this stage when looking for promotion.
He said: “We knew it was going to be a tough game, in the first half they had some chances and so did we. But we dug in there we got the three points which is all that matters.
“We’ve gone back into the play-off places which is nice, but we want an automatic place if we can.
“We’ve got to take it game by game. We’ve got Plymouth and Luton in the next few games and they are going to be very important for us.
“If we can get three points or four points then it would be a good run, but firstly we need to take care of ourselves and see what the other teams do secondly.”
