Bury v Wycombe Preview

16 January 2015

Preview of tomorrow's game against Wycombe Wanderers...

Bury v Wycombe Wanderers
@ The JD Stadium
KO: 15:00

As it stands going into tomorrow's game at the JD Stadium, Wycombe sit at the top of the Sky Bet League 2 table on 50 points, with the Shakers sitting in 9th with 37 points.

Bury's last match was a 1-0 defeat away at Dagenham and Redbridge on 3rd January. The squad are eager to get back into action after a two-week absence since the game against Dagenham & Redbridge, due to the postponement of last week's league game at Accrington Stanley.

There are two new additions to the squad in the form of 22 year old, right-back Joe Riley, who signed from Bolton Wanderers on a 2 and a half year deal, and Keeper, Nick Pope who has arrived at the JD Stadium on loan until the end of the season from Championship side Charlton Athletic.

Daniel Nardiello will return to contention following his hamstring injury, but the game comes too soon for Shwan Jalal, Keil O'Brien, Pablo Mills and Joe Thompson who remain injured.

The Chairboys will be missing Josh Scowen, after his sale to Sky Bet League 1 side Barnsley this week, which will force manager Gareth Ainsworth to reshuffle the side that won 1-0 against York last week.

Captain Paul Hayes will hope to return up front while Max Kretzschmar and Hogan Ephraim are close to completing their recovery from injury, and Matt McClure is in contention after being named on the bench last week following his injury lay-off.
