Flitcroft believes his team dominated the match against Luton Town last night
The Shakers made it four wins on a bounce last night with a 1-0 win over fellow promotion hopefuls Luton Town.
Bury manager, David Flitcroft was in a jubilant mood after Tom Soares gave Bury a win to push them into the League Two promotion pack.
Speaking after the match, Flitcroft said: “Tonight we were back on home soil and back in our own yard. I thought during the first half was as good as we’ve played this season.
“We absolutely dominated proceedings, we took the ball away from Luton and if I’m honest I was buzzing off the performance in the first half.
“As a football fan it was a great to see that left side work with Danny Mayor and Chris Hussey as well Kelvin Etuhu in that triangle with Tom Soares.
“It had everything that we try and project we are. I’m delighted with how we won the game and how we projected ourselves.”
Flitcroft felt that it was a brilliant performances especially when you take into account the opposition and the fact they never lie down.
He said: “It was a colossal performance and it had to be. Luton do not get beat, home or away.
“John Still certainly second half will never back down, he always thinks he has a chance of winning a football match. He never shuts shop and he’s always brave in what he does.
“We weathered a storm when we needed to and I thought our decision making in terms of game management was outstanding.”
