Keeper Rob Lainton puts pen to paper on a new 12 month deal.
Goalkeeper Rob Lainton has quickly agreed, and signed, the new contract put to him at the end of the Shakers Promotion season.
Rob’s new deal will see him remain at the JD Stadium until the end of the 2015/16 season.
Manager David Flitcroft said this afternoon: “Rob is an unsung hero to me, his mind-set and character is second to none. Having played almost 50% of a promotion winning season for us, he has proved to me that he is a worthy member of the squad for the new season.
Despite bringing Nick Pope in on loan, Rob has continued to put 100% into every training session and I was delighted to see the way he supported Nick Pope, on and off the field during the course of the season.
Rob is a fantastic character in and around the dressing room and extremely popular with all the players and staff. He trains hard and has supported all the players every inch of the way through a tough campaign, he deserves to be a member of this squad and I am delighted to have him boxed off for next season.”
