Scottish U19 recognition for Shakers keeper

John Ruddy has linked up with the Scotland Under 19 squad for an invitational tournament in Germany against Mexico, The United States of America and host’s Germany.

John met up with the U19 squad following his appearance on the bench at Colchester at the weekend and will miss two games for the Shakers – Morecambe on Tuesday evening and Wigan at the weekend.

Scotland will face the hosts, the United States and Mexico over the course of a week in Stuttgart, and will use the tournament as preparation for the first round of UEFA European Championship qualifiers, when in November they’ll take on the Republic of Ireland, Slovenia and Latvia.
