Bury's Supporter Liaison Officer gives you helpful information for each away match this season.

Ahead of the journey to Colchester United tomorrow afternoon, we have compiled some useful information for our supporters making the trip.


Bury: 
Are there any known traffic issues en route to the Stadium? Colchester: 
There are no known problems, although the A12 can sometimes be a bit unpredictable in terms of traffic snarl-ups. Generally, the route down from the North West is a smooth one, although a little longer than many of your away trips this year!


Bury: 
Is car parking available for Bury fans?  If so, please provide details (where, how much etc) Colchester:  and Bury fans can make use of our Print @ Home service to print off their own permits. Car parking at the stadium costs £6, alternatively the Park & Ride car park on the other side of the A12 costs £3 per car and then fans can walk back over the Boxted Road bridge to the stadium.www.colutickets.comAny remaining car parking for the game can be bought online at


Bury: 
Is there Blue Badge parking available for Bury fans?  If so, please provide details (how to pre book, how much etc) Colchester: There is limited Blue Badge parking available – please contact Chris Saward on 01206 755130 between 10am and 3pm for further details.


Bury: 
Please give details of pre-match venue for Bury fans (on-site bar, away fan friendly pubs etc) Colchester: The Norfolk pub, near to Colchester train station tends to be away fan friendly, and there is also the Dog & Pheasant pub which is a 10 minute walk from the stadium. From 12.30pm on a Saturday, we also open the stand behind the goal for fans to enjoy a drink together before the game. We will have a live band playing from 1.45pm to liven things up before kick-off.


Bury: 
Where is the nearest cash machine to the Stadium? Colchester: There is a BP garage in the services on the other side of the stadium junction. Alternatively, our club shop offers cashback with any transaction over £5 in the shop.


Bury: 
What is the approximate distance from the train station to the Stadium? Colchester: Two miles away. A good 20-30 minute stroll, alternatively our shuttle buses operate from just across the road for a £2.50 return.



Bury: 
What food and drink is available in the concourse at the Stadium? (Please attach image if applicable) Colchester: The usual pre-match fare of burgers, hot dogs, pies and other football food. Fans might also want to try our Hot Shots café next to main reception, which offers sandwiches and other food options.

What is the postcode for SatNav users? Colchester: CO4 5UP


Bury: 
Any additional information you think may be useful for our fans? Colchester: Young Shakers fans are welcome to visit Eddie’s Nest next to main reception before the game. Fun activities taking place and the chance to mingle with our own junior fans. Admission is free into this area.
