Cameron: We Don’t Fear Anyone

22 September 2015

Bury Captain Nathan Cameron has emphasised the sides confidence and will to win every game on the back of a sharp upturn in results.

The Shakers were winless in the League throughout August, but the side are now unbeaten in September with three wins on the bounce, including incredible away wins against promotion hopefuls Sheffield United and Walsall.

This upturn in results has breathed a fresh air of confidence into the side according to Captain Nathan Cameron, who believes that now they are on a good run they will keep going.

Nathan Cameron spoke to Shakers PlayerHD and said: “It’s like in any team, if you aren’t winning games and going on a good run the motivation and excitement for games isn’t the same because everyone’s on a bit of a downer and it effects your confidence.

“However, when you are on a good run and winning games it breeds confidence and people get to express themselves more on the pitch which gets you even more wins.”

Their run of three wins on the trot, mixed with a number of good draws at the start of the season has catapulted the side into the play-off places, although early days it is still a massive boost for the lads.

Nathan Cameron believes the Shakers don’t fear any team and go into every game knowing they can outscore everyone, and now the side have started shoring up the defence they could become a force in the League.

He explained: “We don’t fear anyone, there are a lot of good teams in this League, but if we play well most of the time we win and I don’t think a lot of teams can say that.

“We have some good players in the squad, the likes of Danny Mayor and Leon Clarke, mean that going forward we always look like we can score goals. It’s just about defensively keeping more clean sheets, and if we do that I’m sure we’ll be in and around it come the end of the season.”
