On Thursday afternoon, the Club received visitors who have travelled all the way from Australia.
Father and son duo, Steve and Matt Denson, visited Gigg Lane for a tour of the Stadium and the facilities.
Steve said ‘We only come over from Australia every couple of years, but one of the main highlights always is watching a Bury game. UTS!’.
Son Matt was suitably impressed with what he saw ‘I originally came from Australia to Bury to visit my Grandmother, but I ended up getting a lot more from this trip than I expected. Seeing the best view of the field from high up in the Police box was jaw dropping! This was an amazing experience. All that is left now is the game on the weekend, so UP THE SHAKERS!’.
The pair have travelled back to the UK and came to the Stadium with Bury Supporters FC Chairman John Raftery. Supporter Liaison Officer Ben Miles, who took them on a tour of the Stadium added ‘It was a pleasure meeting Steve and Matt this afternoon. They’ve travelled over from the other side of the world so showing them around is the least we could do. They are attending the game vs Port Vale on Saturday where they’ll be cheering the lads on for another 3 points! We’re sure they’ll enjoy the day and we wish them a safe trip back to Australia!’
