The under-18s battled to a draw against Blackpool with only 10-men for the majority of the match.
Bury’s Youth Team played their first of a number of games scheduled at Gigg Lane last night, when they took on Blackpool under-18s in the North West Youth Alliance.
The Shakers started the game strongly with a number of chances early on, however the youngsters were soon down to ten men on the 17th minute when midfielder Jake Durham saw red for a reckless challenge on Denzel Williams.
Bury however didn’t let this bother them and still went into the break looking the stronger side with central midfielder Khalid Mohamed impressing for the Young Shakers.
The game became an end to end affair in the second half, with both teams looking to force the opener but to no avail.
The game finished 0-0, but was still an entertaining affair for the 100 plus crowd that turned up. The point in the league will be seen as a great building block to push the side on after only gaining three points in as many matches.
Next-up for the under-18’s is an away trip to Wrexham on Saturday 19th September, 11am kick-off.
