21 September 2015

Bury Youth Team put in an outstanding performance to come away from North Wales with three points in the Youth Alliance league, beating Wrexham under-18’s convincingly 5-2.

The side got out of their run of four games without a goal in impressive style, scoring 5 goals against a tough Wrexham side. George Miller especially impressed grabbing a hat-trick.

The Youngsters were 4 – 0 up at half time via a Rob Bourne penalty, Ciaran Best and two goals from Miller.

The striker got his hat-trick just after half-time to put the Shakers 5-0 up, before Wrexham got two conciliation goals on the 89thand 90thminutes.

This was a brilliant win for the side to say that Youth Team Coach Ryan Kidd was without three of his key players in Jack Ruddy, Matty Foulds and Khalid Mohamed who all sat on the bench for the first team’s game against Port Vale.
