On Tuesday, Bury Football Club received a visit from a pair of supporters, who had travelled over to watch the Shakers in action at Scunthorpe United
Joachim Stensland, from Kristiansand in Norway, and Patrick Madsen, from Copenhagen in Denmark, stopped by the Stadium for a tour before making the journey for the evening game.
Joachim was the first of the pair to follow Bury, when he visited the North West to watch a Manchester United game. ‘I was in the Pymgate Lounge before a home game, and I struck up a conversation with John Raftery (Bury supporter). We stayed in touch and Bury has since become the team that I follow in England. What I like about it is that I’m really made to feel a part of the community and it’s more fun going to Bury games because of the atmosphere and entertainment’.
Patrick made his first visit yesterday, after being told about the Club by Joachim, and he was very impressed with what he saw.
Supporter Liaison Officer Ben Miles added ‘It was a pleasure meeting Joachim and Patrick, giving them a tour of the ground was the least we could do considering the cost and effort they went to in coming over. We have a large global following and it’s always great to meet them in person. We hope they enjoyed their visit and we look forward to seeing them again soon!’
