Keeper joins the Shakers ahead of the new season

Californian born ‘keeper Paul Rachubka has joined the Shakers, signing a 12-month contract, following his release from Bolton Wanderers at the end of last season.  A much travelled and very experienced goalkeeper, Paul began his career with Manchester United.  During a 16-year career in England, Paul has enjoyed loan spells at a number of clubs including Royal Antwerp, Oldham, Burnley, MK Dons, Huddersfield and others.


35-year-old Rachubka has represented a total of 16 clubs over the years making over 350 first team appearances as well as winning an England cap at under-20 level. Paul spent time last season at Crewe Alexandra and Bolton Wanderers, both on permanent deals, and he links up with the Shakers following his release at the end of last season.


Paul will take squad number 21 whilst with the club.
