Young keeper Jack Ruddy has joined Wolverhampton Wanderers
An undisclosed fee has taken keeper John (Jack) Ruddy to Championship side Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Signed by the Shakers in July 2014, John came to Gigg Lane as a Scotland Under 17 keeper. The highly rated keeper moved swiftly through the youth ranks with the Shakers before securing his first professional deal with theClub a year later.
Known by all at the club as Jack, he was a vital part of the Youth Team’s 2014/15 Youth Alliance Championship side, yet missed a handful of their games that season as he sat on the bench for the First Team.
A player that has attracted interest from other clubs since his arrival, John made his first team debut last season when he started the Shakers’League One game at Gillingham. Jack has also achieved international success with Scotland Under 20’s.
Jack is the latest product of the ever flourishing youth system at Bury Football Club and, along with other current youngsters, is just one more that that has attracted interest from Premiership, Championship and foreign scouts.
Jack leaves Gigg Lane with our best wishes for the next stage of his career and we wish him every success at the Molineux Stadium.
