Former Blackburn Rovers striker Chris Brown pens a twelve-month deal at Bury
Doncaster born Chris Brown began his career at Sunderland in 2003, coming through their successful Youth system to progress to the first team, but a serious knee injury hampered his progress and he was forced to miss a complete season. Upon recovering, from the injury, he was loaned to home town club Doncaster Rovers where he quickly regained full fitness and went onto to make 66 appearances for the Black Cats, scoring nine goals before he joined Norwich City in 2007.
His stay at Carrow Road was to last just one year though before he joined Preston North End in January 2008. Chris went onto make over 100 appearances for the Lilywhites, scoring 18 goals, before, again, linking up with Doncaster Rovers in 2011. Whilst with Rovers he made a further 87 appearances, scoring 19 goals, before signing a two-year deal with Championship side Blackburn Rovers in June 2014. Whilst at Ewood Park his chances were limited but he went onto complete a further 37 appearances.
Chris takes squad number 9 for the new season and has signed a 12-month deal for the club, with an option for another year.
