Info for supporters heading down to Gillingham for Saturday's game
The Shakers travel to Kent on Saturday to take on Gillingham in an EFL League One encounter, we’ve provided some information we think will be useful for all those travelling to Priestfield:
Are there any known traffic issues en route to the Stadium?
We’re not aware of any traffic issues, however the Queen Elizabeth II Bridge does have a charge of £2.50 – this charge is applicable in both directions. There are no toll booths, and payment can either be made in advance of the crossing or by no later than midnight the day after crossing. Payment can be made either online - https://www.gov.uk/pay-dartford-crossing-charge - or by phone – 0300 300 0120. If the vehicle is registered as a Class E vehicle on the Motability Scheme, no charge will be made. We would advise all supporters to double check the information for themselves, as a penalty charge notice will be issued if you fail to pay.
Is car parking available for Bury fans?
There is no available car parking for supporters at the Stadium. It is residents only around the ground, and although we believe you can park on the streets further away from the ground, we would recommend checking for any parking restrictions before leaving your vehicle.
Is there Blue Badge parking available for Bury fans?
The residential area can be used if the Blue Badge is displayed correctly. Alternatively supporters can be dropped off at designated points.
What pre-match venues are away fan friendly?
The Fleur De Lis, based on Gillingham Road has been designated as an away fan friendly pub by local Police. It’s less than a 10 minute walk to the ground and there is a Chip Shop nearby!
What is the approximate distance from the train station to the Stadium?
The station is located only a few streets from the ground so should only be a 5-10 minute walk.
What is the postcode for SatNav users?
Any additional useful information?
We’d like to remind our supporters that the away end at Gillingham is uncovered. Although Gillingham do provide rain macs if it’s raining, you may still get a bit wet!
A very safe trip to all our supporters making the long journey down! Loud and proud as always! UTS!
