David Flitcroft has stated that his squad are more than good enough to compete, whether they bring anyone else in or not.
The January transfer window slams shut at 11pm tonight, and Bury manager David Flitcroft has explained that they currently have no players close to joining the club, but his squad are good enough without re-enforcements.
Speaking to the Official Website David Flitcroft said: “There are no deals on the cards at the minute, we are still just working behind the scenes, but again if nothing comes about i’ve got a good squad of players.
“We’ve shown that this season, so if i don’t add to it - no problem, especially as the loan market opens up a week after.
“I won’t bring just anyone in that doesn’t fit what we are trying to do, and if we can’t bring anyone in for whatever reason, it might be that we look at the loan situation.”
The Shakers made possibly there only deal of the day earlier this afternoon when they extended the loan of Blackburn Rovers winger John O’Sullivan until the end of the season and the Gaffer believes we haven’t seen the best of him yet.
He said: “He struggled over at Rochdale and he’s been able to really reset and find himself here. He enjoys what we do and I think there’s more to come.”
