The Shakers travel to Fleetwood Town tomorrow afternoon in Sky Bet League One, hoping to grab their first three points of 2016.
Bury travel to the Lancastrian coast on Saturday 2nd January, kick-off 3pm looking to start 2016 with a win against relegation threatened Fleetwood Town and to break their current dip in away form.
The Shakers are without a win in their last six away games, a stark difference to the away form that saw them go unbeaten away from home for 17 matches in 2015. Bury manager David Flitcroft and his coaching staff will be hoping they can return to that form just in time for a play-off push in 2016.
They are only 4 points away from the play-off places after a fantastic start to the season, however with a mixed recent form the Shakers will be hoping a return to their old away form will put them right back in the fight.
Fleetwood Town are currently sat in the relegation places of Sky Bet League One, but due to the nature of the bottom of the table one win could lift them out of there.
This will give Steven Pressley hope that his side will gain enough points to stay in League One for their third successive season. This however will not be an easy task for the ex-Coventry City manager.
Fleetwood are expected to be without Danny Andrew and Vamara Sanogo who both remain doubtful. However, on-loan Everton forward David Henen is expected to be back in contention after missing Monday’s game against Wigan Athletic due to an ankle injury.
The Shakers are still without a large number of first teamers due to injury with Andrew Tutte and Tom Soares being ruled out. Jacob Mellis, Chris Eagles and Daniel Nardiello are doubtful to be fit in time for Saturday’s game.
