A Tense Saturday for Youngsters

6 May 2016

Youth Team await their fate for the title

Ryan Kidd’s Youth Team will spend Saturday morning nervously refreshing twitter feeds as the Club’s Youth Team wait for news of the final game in the Football League Youth Alliance.

The Young Shakers finished their season last weekend with a stunning 6-0 victory at Fleetwood Town.

As it stands going into the weekend, Bury are top of the table with no games to play.  Wigan Athletic are in second spot and a point behind Bury.  Wigan will play Rochdale on Saturday morning and must get three points to take the title away from Bury, who just happen to be the defending champions.

A draw is not good enough for the Latics as Bury’s goal difference is a goal better than Wigan’s, so they need to take all three points.  A draw or defeat against Rochdale will keep the Football League Youth Alliance Trophy at Gigg Lane for a second season.

We will of course keep everyone in the loop via our official twitter feed as we see the news coming through.  The game takes place at Radcliffe Borough, 11am kick off

It’s not often we say this on the official Bury FC Web Site, but COME ON ROCHDALE!!!
