Tickets no longer available for the Bolton Wanderers game
It’s seventeen years since Bolton Wanderers last came to Gigg Lane for a competitive League fixture. Ironically, it was a game shown live on Sky Sports and, thanks to goals from Chris Swailes and Dean West, the Shakers ran out 2-1 victors on the night, in front of a crowd of 7,468.
Fortunes for both sides have differed massively since that Friday evening at Gigg Lane and now, following the Trotters relegation from the Championship last season, we now find ourselves on the brink of renewing our on-field rivalry with Wanderers in this long awaited league fixture.
Ticket sales have been brisk over the last month with visitors Bolton quickly selling their allocation, as well as 3,000 plus Bolton supporters, a total of 4,282 tickets have been sold to home supporters.
This was an all ticket game and that decision WILL NOT BE REVERSED. Tickets for this game are no longer on sale.
Many supporters, of a certain age, will remember the great league games the Shakers have had with Bolton over the years including Jamie Hoyland’s fabulous, sideways on, scissor-kick volley in 1990 which springs to mind.
The Social Club will be OPEN on Monday evening but admission will be strictly HOME SUPPORTERS ONLY.
Bury FC would like to thank those supporters that either exchanged their season tickets or bought tickets for this game. We are advising all supporters to get into the Stadium as soon as you possibly can on Monday evening. Please allow plenty of time to travel and park in the area.
Finally, enjoy the game
