Vacancy: Bar Manager

A superb opportunity is available to join Bury FC as bar manager, where professionalism and exceeding customer expectations with quality service is at the forefront.

Working as part of a professional yet friendly team at Bury Football Club, as Bar Manager you'll take a proactive approach to managing the smooth day to day operations of the bars and function rooms. You will also be the key driver in securing functions and clubroom bookings, reporting into the Finance Director.


Taking a hands on approach whilst effectively leading an efficient and customer focused team, as Bar Manager you'll be responsible for, although not limited to;

* Ensuring high standards of service are delivered to customers at all times, and resolving any queries or complaints in a professional manner


* Efficiently serving customers and making them feel welcome


* Cashiering tasks, plus management of the tills and floats


* Decorating the facilities in line with seasonal and themed events


* Leading, managing and motivating a team of casual and permanent staff


* Assisting with planning resources and managing stock


* Organising staff rotas with a focus on staff retention and operation efficiency


* Liaising with external suppliers


* Ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness are maintained throughout the bars


* Striving for continuous improvement on high quality service provision


To be considered for this Bar Manager role you'll have the following experience, skills, knowledge and attributes;

* Proven experience gained in a busy bar within a supervisory or management role


* Customer focused attitude, with excellent customer facing skills, and an approachable and friendly manner


* Proactive approach to work with the ability to use own initiative and a keen eye for detail


* Team player who is able to lead, motivate, and give and take direction in order to achieve success, whilst also taking a hands on and flexible approach towards tasks


* Good standard of numeracy skills


* Professional smart appearance

Contracted Hours: Varied with Minimum Hour Guarantee
