The Bury Times Family Stand

15 September 2016

YOUR Bury Times has made a spectacular summer signing — with The Shakers.

This season, the Bury Times are sponsoring the family stand at Gigg Lane and we are working with the club to promote community events and special offers to get people involved with Bury FC.

The deal will help let fans know where to find the latest match previews and coverage, reaction and analysis. We will also be giving readers exclusive offers and competitions, including the chance to win match-day tickets.

As part of our sponsorship, the Bury Times is now on sale in the club shop throughout the week, and in each edition, we are publishing the Shakers' Scoop — two pages of community news and events at the Club, such as the launch of the Football University last week, as well as ticket information and offers.

Bury Times editor Mike Crutchley said: "Bury FC does a lot within the community and as a family paper, it makes sense that we should sponsor the family stand, hopefully encouraging the next generation of Shakers fans to come along and enjoy the action at Gigg Lane.

"The Shakers have made a flying start to the season and with the local derby against neighbours Bolton, it really is an exciting time to get behind the team.

"As well as football, there is plenty going on with the Club. In the past year it has hosted a variety of family entertainment, the highlight of which was the fantastic Bonfire Night fireworks display and funfair."

Bury FC Business Development Manager and Events Coordinator Daniel Bowerbank added: "Over the summer the Club has once again transformed off the field and is working closely once again with the local paper. After meeting with Mike and Paul there was a great collaboration in which they wanted to become part of. The Family Stand will once again be rebranded as the Bury Times Family Stand and throughout the season will see a new gaming area installed within the stand. Team Shakers to be announced and much more as the Club continues to grow within the community.”
