Emergency Loan for Rob Lainton

7 April 2017

Keeper joins Cheltenham Town on Emergency Loan in a ‘one game’ deal

Rob Lainton has joined EFL Sky Bet League Two side Cheltenham Town on ‘emergency loan’, and will feature for the Robins in their game at Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday.

Cheltenham find themselves without a keeper for the game with Wycombe on Saturday, as their keeper, Scott Brown, is on loan – from Wycombe, and a clause in the arrangement states that he cannot play against his parent club, so with that in mind, Rob Lainton will travel with the Cheltenham Town squad as their player for the game at Adams Park on a seven-day emergency loan.  To further complicate matters, Cheltenham’s no 2 keeper has been ruled out with injury.
