A product of the Queens Park Rangers academy system, midfielder Josh Laurent joined Wigan Athletic in the January transfer window after an undisclosed fee was paid by the Latics to Hartlepool United.
Josh left Loftus Road without appearing the QPR and joined Brentford in January 2015. Whilst with Brentford he was loaned out to Newport County in August 2015 and then moved further North joining Hartlepool United in February last year.
His success at Victoria Park brought interest from Wigan Athletic and was one of eight deadline day signings by Wigan in January after signing a two-and-a-half-year deal at the DW Stadium.
Described as a skilful Central Midfielder, Josh has played three games for Wigan Athletic this season and Scored one of the two Wigan goals in the Carabao Cup victory over Blackpool. In total Josh has made 58 appearances and has scored twice during his career thus far.
Josh joins the club on loan for the rest of the current season.
