Bury Football Club are pleased to announce that defender Taylor Moore has joined the club, on loan, until the end of the current season from Championship side Bristol City.
19-year-old defender Taylor Moore began his career with West Ham United's much-heralded academy before a family move to France. Whilst in France, Taylor joined local amateur side Etaples before joining the academy at RC Lens at the age of 12.
Moore signed a professional contract for Lens in December 2014 having made a successful progression through their academy system and made his first team debut in May 2015.
Whilst with Lens, he was subject to a €10 million bid from Lyon but stayed with Lens until the end of his contract last season. He found himself linked to a host of clubs back in his native England and joined Bristol City ahead of the current season, signing a three-year deal with the Robins.
So far this term, Taylor has made 11 appearances for Bristol City, with four appearances coming off the bench, and his most recent game was during a 2-1 defeat at Ipswich Town on 30th December 2016.
Taylor has also represented England at under-17, under-18 and he has captained the under-19’s as well as making a further two appearances for the under-20’s. In total, Taylor has 28 appearances for England across four age groups.
Taylor will take squad number 28 and will remain at Gigg Lane, on loan, until the end of the current season and we wish his every success during his stay with Bury Football Club.
