Shakers sign up with Eventbrite

New online ticketing system, available to print at home or use via an App now available to supporters

20 July 2017

Bury Football Club are delighted to announce a new partnership with Eventbrite the world's largest event technology platform.

Eventbrite built the technology to allow anyone to create, share, find events that fuel their passions and enrich their lives such as attending music festivals, venues, marathons, conferences and, of course, it’s the perfect platform for football.

Speaking of the new partnership, Shakers CEO Karl Evans said: -

“I want to make buying a ticket for a game at Gigg Lane as painless as it can be and open up the opportunity for people wanting to visit us on a more casual basis.

“Eventbrite approached me over the summer and I think this is exactly the right vehicle for us to realise those ambitions.”

Joel Crouch, General Manager of Eventbrite UK, comments on the partnership:

“It’s great to work with a club like Bury. From the get go they saw the potential of cutting edge digital ticketing, both for the club and for their fans. They understand that buying tickets easily and getting into the stadium quickly are crucial parts of the match experience, and we are more than happy to deliver both."

Fans can now buy online match tickets at any time, wherever they are, in a matter of seconds, and on the device of their choice, e.g.: On Bury FC’s website, accessed either from a desktop computer or a mobile phone, in the ‘Tickets’ section, via local event listings for Bury on Eventbrite.co.uk (search for Bury FC) In the Eventbrite App on a mobile device (download required), Directly on Facebook (for selected matches)

Once tickets are ordered, they will be delivered instantly in a variety of digital formats:

  • Via email, as PDF attached to the email order confirmation, for printing out at home
  • In the Eventbrite app (most convenient, no print out required)
  • In the Facebook app, provided fans bought them there (no print out required)

Fans who cannot find their tickets anymore can simply enter their email address at

eventbrite.com/gettickets to retrieve them or contact Eventbrite’s 24/7 customer experience team.

Supporters should be aware that using the Eventbrite system will incur a standard (percentage) booking fee for all tickets purchased, similar to the process of the previous facility.
