Bury FC Youth are through to the Lancashire FA Youth Cup Final.
Yesterday saw Bury FC Youth enter the Final of the Lancashire FC Youth Cup, as they defeated Preston North End, away at UCLAN on penalties.
After a goalless 90 minutes, it was Bury FC Youth who took the victory thanks to two amazing saves from goalkeeper Cameron McCulloch.
It was a strong performance from all the team, as Bury FC Youth dominated possession, especially in the second half as they created numerous chances. It was just unlucky that none of them made it into the back of the net, with some hitting the post, and others being saved by PNE’s goalkeeper Callum Roberts.
Rob Harker, Callum Hulme, Will Osgathorpe and Will Ferry scored all of their penalties, whilst goalkeeper Cameron McCulloch denied Meulensteen and Charlie Lyons with two excellent saves.
The result from the other semi-final played yesterday afternoon saw Blackpool FC defeat Rochdale FC 0-1, meaning the Final will be played between the Seasiders and the Shakers. Date, place and time will be confirmed once arranged.
