Player Pathway Partnership Announced

The Football College are delighted to announce their latest official player pathway partnership with North West Counties Premier Division Club, Maine Road FC.

Talented players from The Football College will have the opportunity to progress directly into North West Counties Premier Division football should they achieve the desired standard.

Chris Hirst commented ''As Manager of Maine Road and Tutor/Coach at The Football College, I am very happy to make the pathway official. The Football College have a proven record of producing young players. This will assist Maine Road in providing young players with an opportunity at semi-professional level.’'

This past season Rhys Clooney (Football College student), played 25 times for Maine Road’s First Team at the age of 16. Recently 11 current Football College students have attended first-stage trials at Maine Road, with all 11 players being invited back to the second stage.

Head of Football, Paul Iannaccone commented, ‘’We are very happy to announce this latest pathway. Knowing Chris very well as he works with us day-to-day at The Football College has made this partnership come to fruition. I am delighted that our players will have the opportunity to play for yet another top club and excellent coach.''

Everyone at The Football College and Maine Road are extremely excited by this partnership and are looking forward to the upcoming season.

The Football College provides player pathways partnerships (PPP) from Grassroots to the Professional Football League.
