Midfielder Tsun Dai has joined Oxford United for an undisclosed fee.
The 19-year-old midfielder, from Hong Kong, joined Bury after being spotted by the Shakers’ scouting system.
He was handed a scholarship with the Academy, where he progressed through the ranks and eventually broke into the first team. He made 10 appearances last season, scoring his only goal for the club in the home CheckaTrade Trophy game against Fleetwood Town.
The Shakers will benefit from additional financial clauses included in the contract.
Speaking about the move, Sporting Director Lee Dykes said: “After several conversations with Tsun and his representatives, and after keen interest over the summer from a number of football clubs, it has been agreed to allow Tsun to leave and join Oxford United.
"Taking into account the player’s desire to play at a higher level and our club currently not having an U23 resource to aid Tsun’s game-time requirements, we feel that this move suited all parties. We wish Tsun all the best in his development and thank him for his time at our club".
