Bury Football Club can announce the signing of Sheffield United forward Caolan Lavery on a loan deal until the end of the season.
The Canadian-born player joins the Club with an impressive goalscoring record.
Caolan has started 45 League games – mostly during loan spells – and has a return of 22 goals to his name.
Manager Ryan Lowe says that Caolan is an ideal addition to his squad: “He’s a hard-working lad, he’s a goal scorer. He’s not played many games but his goalscoring ratio is very good, almost hitting one in every two starts”.
“He makes some fantastic runs and he’s a great addition to the squad. We’ve got great strikers already in the building, but we felt that we needed one more to give them a little bit of a boost and to give me the kind of selection headache all managers want.
“He’s going to be a good addition for us. He’s a fantastic lad and he wants to help us get to where we want to get to.”
Sporting Director Lee Dykes added “We are delighted to bring in Caolan. He is a player we feel will add good attributes to the squad and we thank Chris, Alan and Carl at Sheffield United for helping us get it over the line.”
Caolan will wear squad number 32 during his time with us and has signed in time to be included in the squad for Saturday’s clash with Morecambe.
