Loan Watch - 15th December 2018

17 December 2018

We take a look at the Shakers currently out on loan, and see how they and their temporary sides got on...

Jordan Archer

Jordan was an unused substitute for Southport as they exited the Buildbase FA Trophy at the hands of Solihull Moors.

Both sides are in FA Cup action this week, as they play for the right to play Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal respectively. This led to both teams being much changed, and Solihull ran out 1-0 winners through Jordan Murphy's low drilled finish nine minutes into the second half.

Harry Bunn

Harry was absent from Southend's squad as they won 3-0 at home to Accrington Stanley. Sam Mantom and Simon Cox fired the home side into a 2-0 lead, before Theo Robinson secured the points in the 72nd minute.

Chris Sang

Chris was an unused substitute as Marine fell to a 3-2 home defeat to Witton Albion. The home side twice held the lead, but Chris Doyle saw red and visitors Witton took full advantage.

Two goals in six minutes turned the game on it's head to leave Marine third from bottom.

Joe Skarz

Joe was left out of the AFC Halifax squad as they beat Barrow in the FA Trophy.

Jordan Preston had given Halifax a first-half lead, before Matty Brown headed the home side back into it after half time. As the game headed towards a replay, Ben Tomlinson won the game for the visitors.

Tom Aldred

Tom Aldred played all 90 minutes for Motherwell as they beat St Johnstone at McDiarmid Park.

Tom reacted at the back post following a corner to give 'Well a 2nd minute lead, and Danny Johnson doubled the advantage just 15 minutes later.

Saints had a glorious opportunity to reduce the arrears before the break but Matty Kennedy's spot-kick was saved by Mark Gillespie. Jason Kerr headed home seven minutes from time but it proved to be a consolation as Motherwell ran out 2-1 winners.
