This weekend saw us go head-to-head with local rivals Bolton Wanderers in a charity challenge!
The Joshua Wilson Brain Tumour Charity – also known as ‘Superjosh’ – is the official charity partner of both The Shakers and The Wanderers. As both teams had home games over the weekend, the gauntlet was thrown down as to who could raise the most money.
The results are in, and it’s The Shakers who came out on top!
Bolton faced Bristol City on Friday evening, who raised £481 between them, whilst Bury faced Blackpool on Saturday afternoon and raised £567 between them.
A percentage of the crowd wasn’t required, as Bury were triumphant based on the amount collected!
The real winners, though, were the Superjosh charity, who collectively were able to raise a fantastic £1,048 across both matches, thanks to the generosity of everyone who donated.
Our thanks go out to everyone who contributed to the collection from both games and for supporting a fantastic cause!
