Bury Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of Dominic Telford on a two-year contract.
The 21-year-old forward has put pen to paper to become the latest addition to Ryan Lowe’s side for the 2018/19 season.
Agreeing terms on a free transfer from Stoke City, Dominic already has Football League experience after making 15 appearances for Blackpool in the 2014/15 season and a further 24 during a loan spell with Bristol Rovers last season.
He has scored six goals in all competitions whilst playing first-team football, including one against the Shakers last season.
We spoke exclusively with Dominic this afternoon, who told us: “I’m thrilled to sign for a Club with such a great history. I’m really looking forward to helping to get them back to where they belong and promotion is obviously the aim. I feel as though I’ve got a lot to offer and I’m looking forward to showing the fans what I’m about!”
Manager Ryan Lowe also spoke about his latest acquisition: “I’m delighted to sign Dom Telford, he’s a player we’ve tracked for a while. We feel he’ll benefit us, he’s different to what we’ve got; he’s a bit of a fox-in-the-box, he’s that small rapid one that gets in behind defenders and causes mayhem.
He scored against us last season and since then we’ve monitored him. Ryan Kidd worked with him as a youngster at Blackpool so we’ve got good feedback on him. We know what he’s about and the boy was desperate to come and play for us and he’s seen what we’re trying to build, so I’m pleased to get him over the line”.
