This week, Bury FC The Trust teamed up for the third consecutive year with Free Kicks Foundation and First Point Family Support Service to provide one lucky child with a fantastic mascot experience. Free Kicks Foundation work hard to raise money in order to give deserving children and adults days out at football. 2018 marks their 11-year anniversary.
In their 11 years, Free Kicks have taken over 800 deserving children and young adults to football matches all over England. Most of the children that Free Kicks work with go along to matches as Team Mascots. Not only do Free Kicks provide the funds for a full mascot package, but also a new kit for the mascot. They are also able to provide hospitality packages and other experiences at any club in the country. To find out more about Free Kicks Foundation visit: freekicksfoundation.org.
That lucky child was 9-year-old Jack Kennedy Berens who was chosen by First Point Family Support Services in Bury. Jack loves Bury FC, and his favourite player is Greg Leigh. He loved meeting all the players before the game and leading out the team alongside captain Neil Danns. During the warm-up he was given a pair of goalkeeper gloves from Joe Murphy!
From everyone at The Trust, thank-you so much Free Kicks Foundation, and we are glad you enjoyed your experience Jack! Why not check out The Trust TV to hear the full interview with Free Kicks Foundation - youtube.com/channel/UC4hXmqygpZe2f_j7rjpq4Wg .
