Bury Football Club have announced that they are to offer local businesses the opportunity to win up to £185,000 worth of commercial inventory as part of an initiative spearheaded by new Business Development Director, Matt Hanson.
For £1,000 (plus VAT), companies sign up to join our newly-formed 1903 Business Club which will be a monthly networking group. In addition, they will then go into an inventory draw that will see everyone win something for the 2018/19 season.
The top prize will be a stand sponsorship (the winner will choose between the Cemetery End or Manchester Road End). In addition, the club have made available the team training kit, back of shorts exposure, the pitch-facing external wrap of the Boardroom and sponsorship of the Academy and Youth teams.
There will also be Community based prizes with patronage of the disabled football and walking football programmes that are run by the Community Trust.
Everyone wins, with inventory stretching to hospitality tables, player sponsorship, crowd-facing advertising boards and programme advertising.
Hanson, who has been with the club since January, commented, “I wanted to create something that re-connects the club with the local business community. This is very much a Bury centric initiative that will enable us to focus on business to business relationships. I want to bring companies together to engage. We had a networking event at the home fixture against AFC Wimbledon and there were several pieces of business conducted. I want a vibrant and prosperous networking forum.”
On the subject of the commercial inventory, Hanson continued “We have placed a strong emphasis on our Academy as I am acutely aware that they play at Carrington and do feel a sense of responsibility in having each age group represented by a local business to bring the link back to the town. There are clearly some fantastic prizes on offer but for me, it’s about ensuring that everyone wins and that everyone gets something out of this, something I will be working very hard to achieve. However, the prospect of a local business being a stand sponsor is extremely exciting. I thank everyone who supports us and wish them all the very best of luck with the draw that will take place on Friday 18th May 2018.”
The official launch of the ‘Sponsor A Stand For A Grand’ project will take place ahead of our home game against Peterborough United on Tuesday 13th March. To learn more, local businesses are asked to get in touch with the club by e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org to book their place, which is free and includes supper and a match ticket.
