Shakers Team Up with Admiral

Bury Football Club are delighted to announce a partnership with Advantage Sport until the end of the 2019/20 season, with an option of extending for a further season.  Advantage Sport is the UK licensee for Admiral and the partnership will see Bury being the only Football League club wearing the iconic brand next season.
 
Many supporters will remember the iconic kits that Admiral produced in the late 70’s and early 80’s.
 
The highlight of this period was no doubt the England kit donned by Robson, Keegan and co. in the 1982 World Cup in Spain.
 
The move will also see Advantage take control of the Club Shop, furnishing it with an extensive product range, which will provide fans with a wide choice which will be varied throughout the season.
 
There will also be an improved e-commerce offering to cater for supporters who find it difficult to make it to the store in person.
 
Bury CEO, Karl Evans, said “I have stated on several occasions, notably at the Fans’ Forum, that I would improve this side of the football club and believe that the Admiral relationship will enhance how we operate.  The deal is in their interests to keep stock and ranges fresh, and we believe they will deliver a consistent and much improved solution to our supporters.”
 
Dan Drew, Director of Advantage Sport stated, “Bury is a very good fit for us.  We have quickly built up a strong relationship with the club and see this as a vital footstep in our journey to re-establish the brand in the Football League.   We are aware of fan frustration when it comes to kit availability and we have set strict deadlines with the club in terms of when replica shirts will be available from. We look forward to working with the club and supporters alike and see this as a long-term partnership that can flourish.”
 
For Bury’s Business Development Director, Matt Hanson, it makes perfect sense.  Matt commented: “Commercially this deal ticks every box.  Simply by having a consistent range of retail stock I am anticipating at least a 20% rise in turnover.  This does not take into account our e-commerce platform which will enable supporters from further afield to purchase items online and have them delivered.  There will also be an option for matchday visitors who can order online and collect on the day.  
 
“Admiral presented the best solution to the football club and we believe they will deliver what our fans want, they are engaging and flexible in everything they do.”
 
The new home shirts are expected to be available to supporters in mid-July.
 

The away shirts are expected to be available in early August.
