As is now usual at the Energy Check Stadium at Gigg Lane ahead of Remembrance weekend, our enhanced minute's silence will once again take place before this weekend’s game with Dover Athletic.
Standard Bearers from the Royal British Legion and various Veterans associations and representatives from the armed forces, will march onto the pitch before kick-off. The Standards will be escorted by a lone Bugler from the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers (Lancashire).
Both teams will come out as normal. Once the coin toss has been completed, the Standard Bearers and Buglers will march into the centre circle. The Buglers will then play the last post. The final note of the last post will signal the start of the minute's silence.
The Buglers will then play the Reveille, signalling the carry-on before the Standard Bearers march off, allowing the game to commence. A special video will also be playing on the big screen during the minute's silence.
Please show our veterans and serving soldiers the respect they deserve during the game on Saturday.
A video from the same ceremony from previous seasons can be found below. We will have the video from Saturday's ceremony live on our website and Social Media at some point over the weekend.
