How Do You Tie Your Laces?

29 November 2018

This week has seen the Rainbow Laces campaign being spread across sport and we are showing our support out in the community, with our staff wearing rainbow laces out to all our community sessions this week.

The laces have been a great talking point with the participants we work with and is a great way to highlight to all participants that sport should be inclusive for everyone. Sport has the power to bring everyone together, no matter how you are involved in the game.

The Rainbow Laces campaign is a way for everyone involved to show their support for LGBT equality and inclusivity. National teams, leading clubs, top athletes, fans and grassroots players are lacing up to Come Out For LGBT+ people in sport. It's about working together to challenge language, chats, insults and negative behaviour, to make sport accessible to all. Be a true teammate and take responsibility to support everyone in your community.

We have also shown our support on the field, by using a rainbow crest on the big screen and rainbow corner flags during Tuesday's game against Cheltenham Town.

Watch out for our staff and the colourful laces and get everyone talking and supporting each other.
